With Diamond Stingily
Diamond Stingily (b. 1990, Chicago; lives and works in New York) explores how identity and lived experience become embedded in the objects and spaces that surround us. Working with familiar materials and fragments of the built environment, she transforms ordinary objects into evocative sculptures, installations, photographs, and texts that reveal the emotional and social histories they carry. Whether found or meticulously constructed, these works invite viewers to reconsider the ways everyday things shape both personal and collective memory.
Through a restrained yet deeply resonant visual language, she uncovers the layers of meaning embedded within ordinary materials, allowing them to speak simultaneously to intimate experience and shared histories.
